We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills and technical expertise in cell therapy development (e.g. CAR-T). Brief Description of Position:

This full-time position is ideally suited for individuals who prefer working in the lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing cell therapy expansion and characterization workflows for therapeutic T-cells, NK cells, and Macrophages. Functional, molecular and phenotypic assays will be performed to characterize the impact of culture conditions on therapeutic cell candidates.

The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary, small team setting, interfacing with scientists, software and hardware engineers. Strong technical expertise in primary cell culture, flow cytometry, tissue and blood processing, and molecular biology techniques are required.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD with minimum 3+ years with cell therapy development research
  • Key skills and experience for a successful applicant ideally will include: primary cell culture expertise with immune cells; multiparametric flow cytometry and data analysis (FlowJo); immunofluorescence staining and microscopy-based imaging; peripheral blood and/or tissue processing; immune cell based assays (MLR, cytotoxicity, cytokine profiling); in vitro functional assays (tumor/target killing assays); transfection, electroporation and viral transduction workflows; gene-editing in immune and/or stem cells (viral or CRISPR-Cas9); plasmid construct design and cloning (CAR-T, TCR); primary tumor processing and in vitro culture
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can prioritize and “take ownership” of tasks
  • Comfortable solving problems independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility when multi-tasking
  • Must be comfortable in a seed-stage start-up environment, and with a mix of cash, equity, milestone-based compensation
